There seemed to be a problem with my note 611.0. So I deleted it and try to enter my questions again... 3 questions for the Spectre community: - How do you backup your Spectre partitions on your harddrive??? I have an EX60 60MByte (non SCSI) drive of witch 30 MBytes are currently reserved for the Spectre. All the backup progs I tried so far are going to access the Mac's SCSI controller directly, so failing (bombing) on the Spectre. I really need urgent help on that, because I want to repartition my disk. Also I generally do not feel very good without a save way for backing up my data. - I am looking for a debugger/monitor that runs under Spectre. Macsbug crashes the system at boottime... MacNosy complains about not having the right ROMmap file for my system. Probably it is not the right one, or it is damaged, but I think I have the latest ROMs and the corresponding mapfile. If MacNosy runs under Spectre can someone then provide me with the correct files? Any other debuggers that do the job? - I have GEM pictures that I want to include into Mac graphics. Is there a way to convert Atari format pictures to Mac format? Any utilities around or at least a good idea how to do it? I could write a hack myself if I know how. Thanks in advance ---markus---

611.1 | Touch-Up for .GEM to MacPaint | DUGGAN::WEAVER | Laboratory Data Products/Science | Mon Sep 25 1989 23:26 | 15 |
Touch-Up(tm) by Migraph will read the following formats: Degas (&Elite), .IMG, MacPaint, Neochrome, .PCX, .TNY and .TIF, as well as .GEM It will write the following formats: .GIF, .IMG, .PCX, .TIF, Degas, IFF-ILBM, MacPaint and PrintMaster If that is what you want to convert to/from, then this is the only package I am aware of that will import .GEM. The disadvantage is you loose the object in the .GEM files and replace them with essentially a bitmap. -Dave |
