| Joe,
I've heard that Steinberg do a good M1 editor/librarian, but I
haven't got an M1 so it's hard for me to judge it personally :-(
Cheers,
Derek

559.2 | Korg M1... the biz !!! | COMICS::DSMMGR | | Mon Aug 07 1989 05:56 | 19 |
| Hi Joe,
I too have the Korg M1 and find it the business !!! As for using
the ST for additional storage, it really depends on what you mean.
If you're looking for a sequencer then there are a few around. PRO-24
is wonderful, but the latest offering from Steinberg is CUBASE.
I have read a review and it sounds all singing and all dancing really,
but be warned it requires a mono monitor and also costs 500 pounds
sterling. On the cheap side there is a PD 32 track sequencer, which
whilst basic does work.
On the non sequencer side, there is BUMP or BULKDUMP which allows
you to save program, global and sequence data from the M1. It is
a dump utility and works without problem. This is NOT a sequencer
and so songs would have to be generated on the onboard M1 sequencer
and then dumped to disk. I use it a lot and have found it invaluable.
