I just read in the newest STZMAG.027 (June 30, 1989), that ABACUS of Grand Rapids, Michigan, (800) 451-4319 or (616) 698-0330, is offering their new BECKERCAD ST, "a professional CAD system that supports Postscript, HPGL, and GDOS output", for only $95 through July 15. It retails for $395. Now the question is, has anyone heard or read anything about BECKERCAD ST ?? It sounds like a good deal if it is a decent CAD program. Thanks in advance for any info on this "offer" Bill Gabor

hi,
I rang ABACUS, to find out if they had a UK distributer with a deal.
Abacuas told me ADAMSOFT (UK) were handling Beckercad. I rang ADAMSOFT
eventually getting through. The boss said they would be handling it,
but they didnt have any info yet, they were waiting for the publicity
package, they had no demo's, they had no deal, they didnt know much
about the prog, they didnt know how much to charge, the theory was it
would be about 250 pounds.
SO if you want to take a gambol and save 200 pounds order a copy from
ABACUS sight unseen !!!!
THE offer closes on JULY 15, HASNT ANYONE SEEN ANYTHING ABOUT BECKERCAD
ANYWHERE???????
