    Hello,
    
    Please could someone help!
    
    One of the software groups in our building has obtained a nice DEC
    image scanner. It is connected to a VAXMATE and runs some Messy dos
    software called eyestar or star eye or some such. Now, it appears this
    can output in several different file formats including DDIF, The file
    is normally netted over to a VAX where it can be POSTSCRIPTISED. I had
    a look at the various file save options on this software, I could not 
    see what I think I really need, which is a "RAW" scanned data save
    option, which I could squirt down to the Atari.
    
    Also apparently there is a midnight oil prog called UTOX which runs under
    VMS which can convert image files to many file formats. 
    
    The burning question is:- How can I produce .IMG files, or IMG compatible,
    that I can save on our VAX and squirt down to the ATARI, to incorporate
    in high res DTP (300dpi) or EASYDRAW (SUPER). not NEO or DEGAS?
    
    Has anyone been able to do this ??
    
    Has anyone got a copy of UTOX, or its location?
    
    What is the format of a .IMG file, Is there any header info or is it a
    one to one bit to pixel conversion?
