Has anybody had any experience with hooking up a Centronics
Printstation 262 dot matrix printer to an ST? It's an Epson
compatible 18 pin printer that seems to be built like a tank
and has several personality cards as well as both parallel
and serial connections. Does the fact that it has 18 pins screw
things up? Could that printer driver published in Start (that
I have) be used to make a decent driver for it? We're not
getting anything out of it even though it's set up for Epson
emulation.

Can you print *anything* on it at all? Even pure text files? If not, it's most likely a problem with the cable. | |||||

Still haven't gotten anything from the ST to the printer but did
succeed in doing so with a PC clone, the cable is OK. Next step is
to try my Panasonic on his ST to check out the parallel port.
