Beware of TWARP from the January '89 STLOG.
This program is designed to speed up floppy disk access by doing
smart seeks. It does do this, but also causes the system to think
the disk is full after about four minutes of disk inactivity. This
can be worked around by removing the diskette and pressing escape.
However, a longish download to the buffer of the Intersect comm
program was blown when suddenly the program said disk full when
NO disk access had yet occured. Other strange actvities going back
to the GEM Desktop may also be caused by TWARP. This thing was
written by the revered David Small and Dan Moore.
