369.0. "B&W on a Colour monitor" by BAHTAT::REID () Mon Jan 09 1989 09:57

    Has anybody got a copy of DALEKS and MONOWARE that I can pull across
    I have DAleks without the RSC file and MONOWARE I have been unable
    to locate anywhere - lakesys is currently down!
    I hope MONOWARE is the right title - does it allow B&W only code
    to run on a RGB monitor.

    Thanks in advance

    Kev.

    I would have sworn that MONOWARE was commercial and not PD but I
    have just downloaded MONOWARE.ARC into my area from the UMICH
    archieves.

    It is available by:

    	@ COPY VINO::PORT:[BHAMILTON.ST]MONOWARE.ARC []

 That's what I thought: commercial. Isn't the above location then
 infringing on (c) laws?

369.5It is shown in lakesys library!!BAHTAT::REIDMon Jan 09 1989 18:1411
    I can be certain that Monoware.uua is in the Lakesys library. I
    believe that Lakesys is either PD or Shareware. Is that not true?
    It has also been distributed on a magazine disk in the UK sometime
    during the last year, but I have not been able to get an absolute
    fix on it in my search.

    If it really is not PD then I will continue to try to get it through
    a legal source.

    Thanks

369.6sleep eazzzy!!!BAHTAT::REIDMon Jan 09 1989 18:3118
    Thanks Buzz and sleep easy!!! Monoware is distributed freely to
    anyone. The DOC files says so. Also the program was writen less
    than 3 miles from my house and I could only get a copy from the
    USA.

    "You can give away copies of this program to anybody, if you got
    this copy free then if you find it useful then please send some
    money to me as a token of your appreciation, this will spur me on
    to write lots more useful programs like this."
