315.0. "a for 'orses, beef or mutton" by RDGENG::KEANE () Wed Nov 23 1988 14:33
hi,
Has anyone got a reasonably sized plain English (American?) Dictionary
text file I could download over the net? I would be grateful for
anything, even a compacted file if the decompactor is available
as well.
I have managed to corrupt my master dictionary file and I cannot
find a good backup, it appears it got corrupted several generations
of backup ago, and I didnt use it until recently, when I found it
was bust. I tried inspecting it with an editor but it is compacted
and so corrupt I cant even begin to work out an algorythm to unscrew
it. If I could start again with a plain AScii version, I could pass
it through the dictionary merge program and build a new version.
I know there used to be a dictionary file in the CPM stuff that
used to be on MKUPD1, but thats gone now, has anyone seen one lately?
Thanks for any input.....
