    hello,

    Does anyone know how to program the DMA chip of the ST ??.
    My special interest is how to program the hard disk controller 
    directly not by means of (X)bios or Gemdos calls. 
    It seems to me that there are several hidden registers which can 
    be made accessible by setting up the DMA chip for HDC access.
    I hope someone can provide me with information what those hidden
    registers are used for and what the individual bits bits mean.
