235.1 | Video on Sound ??? | SEDOAS::WATT | It's Life Jim but not as we know it | Mon Sep 19 1988 12:02 | 6 |

Run a separate wire from the sound output to the input and see if
you still get it. I made my own cable as well but it has seperate
shielding for the video wires and the sound.
Regards Peter.

235.2 | Screened, but still buzzing | MINDER::GILBERT | North UK Region Appl'n Centre @MCO | Wed Sep 21 1988 04:21 | 13 |
| Hi Peter,
I was afraid that would be the next thing to try, I just couldn't
face unpicking the connections to those *?$!"% DIN plugs again.
Anyway, I had a go last night. Result, no (or if at all very little)
change.
That seems to point to video interference either coming from the
ST or being induced within the internals of the MC01. No one else
seems to have complained about the ST with other monitors, so the
MC01 it is - tonight!
Regards, Brian

Does the sound change with differant pictures on the screen ? If
it does then it is Video on sound, other than that it could be produced
in the monitor itself or even by the Atari. I use the same monitor
and don't have any problems.

235.4 | Still investigating... | MINDER::GILBERT | North UK Region Appl'n Centre @MCO | Wed Sep 21 1988 13:00 | 12 |
| Don't recall any change with picture content, but I do know that there is
also a buzz when I connect my Acorn Beeb.
Another factor which leads me to suspect the MC01 internal wiring.
Seems OK when using RF (aerial) input, - except the picture quality
of course.
The hunt continues...
