Did anybody get the posting from USENET a while back of TVX_EDIT.ARC? From the docs it look quite similar to TV, a TECO based editor that many of us around here in Marlboro knew and loved that ran under TOPS-20. The ARC only contains C source and without a compiler I'm not able to explore this any further. Anybody get the update to Publishing Partner yet? Last I heard it was to have shipped the first two weeks of June.

I received a note from Softlogik that stated PPP is still undergoing bug removal, I would prefer to wait. -Dave | |||||

I looked through our PD library this morning and found the sources to TVX. It is written by Dr. Bruce Wampler and the version is stated to be 1/10/86. Possibly the posting you are reffering to is newer than this. You are correct it does not have an executible. There are hooks for it to run on the ST as well as Unix and MS DOS, however it doesn't state which C compiler it will work with on the ST. I don't know anything about TVX ("..as in a TV editor for X terminals") but will try to compile it with MWC if someone realy wants to try it out. Ray |
