| There's a shop in the Harris Arcade in Frier Street Reading that
sells software. Also in Oxford Road there is "Computercare" that
sells hardware and software. That on is a long walk to get to though.
Hope this helps. Call me on 7899 5564 if you need further info.

| Hello,
Re .0
There are not any CHEAP software shops in Berkshire
or Hampshire !!!!!!!, All the shops mentioned retail their goods
at the FULL sales price. THere are dozens of Mail order outlets
that will discount 30% at least,
Get an UK ST MAG and ring around for a quote|!!!
p.s. The guy in the Oxford road in Reading tried to ask me 19-50
for 10 unbranded DS/DD disks last week. The usual rate for unbranded
is only 10 mail order. I can get real Sony's for 17-50, by post.
Cheers

The question was asked a while ago in the ATARIST_old, for the same
reasons I think. (It was in note 526.*)
This is just an extract, you have to refer to the old file
MAY14::atarist_old, for the rest. A summary is = Go to Tottenham
court road in central London, or get it by mail order.

I bought my GAUNTLET from Tottenham Court Road. There are quite
a many shops selling Atari stuff. The farther you go off from
Oxford Street the lower prices you get! I paid some 22 pounds for
a copy and it`s worth every penny and more! Selfridges sells Atari
games also, but the prices are not discounted. One very good dedicated
Atari shop on Tottenham Court Road is Silica Shop, but they don`t
discount either (on the first or second floor depending on how you
count ;-). You should find also 1st Word Plus from those shops.
I bought also a second disc drive (made by Eidersoft/Triangle) from
Micro Anvika for 130 pounds. The only thing to do was to change
the wallplug. And I got the VAT off!
Happy shopping,
Petteri
