68.0. "GFA Compiler, anybody ?" by CHEST::BADMAN (Laugh? I almost did.) Thu Apr 28 1988 05:19

I've written a program in GFA BASIC, which has become far too slow
for the interpreter. I do not have the compiler. I wonder if there
is anyone out there who would be willing to compile my program for
me if I was to upload it ?

	Hi once more Jamie,

Sure we could but probably we wouldn't !

	begin to :-) ...
I'm pretty sure your program is 'infested by a virus' and
it would damage any system or disk of anybody fare enought
	to help you !
	end of :-)

The best would be you buy the compiler or that somebody was
kind enought to give to you a copy of his compiler and let
you work yourself and after that to destroy the copy (GFA is
	Not a PD soft. I think ?)

	kindly yours Vincent

GFA is not PD! But I don't want to fork out 45 Pounds just so that
I can compile a one-off program. A little over the top, don't you
    think ?

BTW the program contains a virus that will dissintegrate your keyboard,
blow up your monitor and infest your disk drives with cockroaches!
So it does nothing harmful!!! :-)

Seriously, though, it is a simple, harmless program, and before
compiling, you can look through the code and check for anything
malevoelent (sp?), so there is no danger!

    Hi there,

Sure. Upload it to meridn::michaelsd and I'll give it
a shot. By the way, I do my compiling on BACKUP copies so I'm not
too worried. If you have any problems getting to my directory, let
    me know.
