51.0. "Help for a new ST owner" by ODIXIE::WARNER (So I might steal your diamonds...) Thu Apr 21 1988 15:34
Hello one and all. I am the proud owner of a brand new
520ST. I've been wanting a 520/1040 for ages, but never
seemed to be able to scrape together the bucks.
During a moment of true inspiration at Lechemere over the
weekend, I managed to CONvince a manger to sell me one of
their orphaned display-model 520 RGB systems for about the
price of the RGB monitor alone.
I feel I was lucky--the system seems to work fine, but one
of the tradeoffs was they had no system disks for the little
beast. I believe there's a system disk and a language disk
that come from ATARI, right.
If anyone would know how I might aquire said disks, I would
be eternally gratefull. (Unfortunately, I don't know anyone
who has an ST. Oh, I'm in Atlanta, by the way).
Thanks a bunch,
Steve W.

51.1 | Software for the asking..... | PEOVAX::SHAUN | RONCO makes the best board popper... | Fri Apr 22 1988 12:29 | 13 |
| Steve,
My atari 1040st came with the two disks in question. I could make
them available on the net if you have some sort of file transfer
program to copy them. If not, send me (via office mail) some disks
and I'll copy the two disks you ask for and give you a copy of uniterm
(has kermit built in) and other goodies to get you on your way.
Any questions feel free to contact me.
