Jan Willem asked in his intro if there is a possibility of connecting
an IBM type hard disk onto his Atari. Well the good news is, There
is !
Pat Keane drew my attention to an article from a German magazine,
in it, it has an interface which plugs into the hard disk port,
this interface consists of 5 TTL chips and into this interface you
plug an IBM card which only costs 50 pounds, this then gives you
SCSI output, which you can then plug in upto two drives, RD's etc.
It also has all the software routines, written in C, to enable boot
up from the winnie's and also fixes the 40 folder bug etc.
So for only 60 pounds and the cost of a winnie, you can have a hard
disk on your Atari.
But, there always has to be a BUT, we have not proved it yet, we
are in the middle of trying it out, plus all the documentation is
in German.
If anyone wants some more info then just reply to this note, I haven't
got the documentation with me, but I will bring it in tommorrow.

| Please tell me, and all the other readers of this notesfile, how
to get the documentation. Was it published in one of the (exellent)
German magazines about the ST??
