                             JAVA THEATER NEEDS YOUR HELP!

We're excited about our next production, "Hunger", portraying a family
struggling with abuse and food. But mounting a theater piece is an
expensive proposition! So to help ease the burden we're hosting a benefit
along with the Massachusetts Eating Disorder Association (MEDA).

In addition to our undying gratitude for your donation of just $10.00, we will
provide a delightful evening of music and comedy, and the chance to win
a number of wonderful gifts!

Entertainment is generously being provided by:

	singer Raven
	comedian Jerry Caruso
and singer Justine Sullivan, with Gordon Hill!

Please join us Friday, April 25th, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the
Cyclorama, Boston Center for the Arts, 539 Tremont Street, Boston, MA.

Tickets (covering admission and the raffle!) are available at the door, or
from
"Hunger" production members. Attendance is not necessary to win prizes.

Donations may be sent to:
	Java Theater
	c/o Milton Coykendall
	11 Cameron Ave., #1
	Somerville, MA 02144

For more information, call 1 (617) 776-9563

And! Don't forget to come see "Hunger", May 15 - June 1, at the BCA!

    okay, it's nearly panic time!

I have a show opening in one week. We just got the final scene Tuesday
night. We have yet to run the show start to finish. The director is
still making changes in the directions. We will have only 3 runs
    before we open.

Haven't you been there, done that? I know I have. It's not the way
it's supposed to be but the show comes together anyway, usually to
the mutual surprise of all concerned. It will be great. Lots of
(nervous) energy on stage, and for good reason.

No, I've never had the play not be *written* by at least a few weeks
    prior to opening.

I take it back. I haven't been there and I haven't done that.
I've been in the band for a show where the last musical number
wasn't written until the last week of rehearsal, but that's just
not the same. The band doesn't have to memorize the music.

I am now in full agreement with your "ar...rg"!

Well, thankfully we are all professionals, and have been doing this for
a long time. And we've bonded quite well as a cast. In fact, I have a
    new friend. So,.....
