2219.0. "DIGITAL InfoServer Client For DIGITAL UNIX, V1.0 SSB kit." by TAPE::STONEHAM () Thu May 29 1997 14:48

InfoServer Engineering is pleased to announce the V1.0 SSB release
of the DIGITAL InfoServer Client for DIGITAL UNIX. This kit provides
DIGITAL UNIX access to CD-ROMs and hard drive partitions served by
  an InfoServer.

The kit can be retrieved using a web browser from the following location

    http://dtb13.shr.dec.com/InfoServer/Digital_UNIX_client/V1.0_SSB

  or from

    tape::ess:[public.ess.kit.dunx_v10_ssb]

The kit consists of two files and a documentation directory:

LPA100.tar - Tar file containing the InfoServer Client for Digital UNIX.
     LPA100.txt - Release notes.

documentation directory - Contains the postscript files that make up
                              the Installation and User's Guide.
                              (AA-R40XA-TE)

   Installation Instructions:

The InfoServer Client for DIGITAL UNIX is received in tar format in
file LPA100.tar. Place the tar file into a directory where it can be
unbundled then issue the tar command as follows.

   # tar -xvpf LPA100.tar

Tar will create the directory ./LPA100 within which all of the
installation components reside. For a local installation, give setld
the path through to ./LPA100 subdirectory similar to the following:

   setld -l LPA100

Select option 3, "All of the above" from the setld subset selection menu
indicating you wish to install all client components. Confirm the choice
and the script will install, load, and start the client automatically.
The installation script will provide an additional prompt for a network
adapter selection if multiple ethernet adapters are found on the system.
Please consult the release notes and the Installation and User's Guide
   for more information.

Thank you, Charlie
