Hello,
customer connected a RZW52 drive to an Infoserver1000 V3.4.
Created a service with the NOREADAHEAD/NOREADBEHIND characteristics and
did an initialize to this device after the bind from a OpenVMS system.
The service was bound from a OpenVMS VAX V6.1 system and he copied a file
(about 5000 blocks) to the DAD device without any errors.
Trying to read the file OPCOM messages are displayed with 'device offline
errors, mount verification in progress'.
These messages were repeating over and over.
Mounting this device with /NOMOUNT_VERIFICATION resulted in
no errors during the copy phase
reading gave 'device not software enabled'
Any ideas/suggestions ?
P.S. i know the RZW52 is not in the SPD of the Infoserver V3.4 and officially
not supported.
The RZW52 directly connected to a MV3100 will work correctly.

| The RWZ52 doesn't work. When I tested it, I could never get it to
work reliably, so it was never supported.
