on node THEBAY - check TURRIS::EASYNET_CONFERENCES (or do a directory of
conferences on THEBAY).

| Those are definitely salt evaporation ponds. They're mentioned
explicitly (with a photo of the ponds) in this month's "Scien-
tific American", in the article about single-celled organisms
that live in extremes of heat, cold, alkilinity, acidity, and
salinity.
