1210.0. "Questions re new format for internal email addresses" by NETCAD::MORRISON (Bob M. LKG2-A/R5 226-7570) Mon Feb 17 1997 18:43
A few days ago, I began seeing Digital-internal email addresses of form
[email protected]. What kind of address is this? Who manages them?
It seems to me that this system has major potential for confusion, if it
is used by more than a small percentage of the company. Except for very
unusual last names, a last name alone won't work. For about 90% of the
workforce, a last name preceded by a first initial won't work either. For
example, there are probably 10 R. Morrisons in the company. How will we
avoid confusion if this system becomes widely used?
