I agree with Tom's suggestion about conscientious shoveling, modest de-icing, and a handrail. Yesterday morning, the 1 inch of snow had been rained on so was all slush. But instead of my normal lazy "let's hope it melts before it freezes", I decided to shovel it. By evening, it was real cold out, but I had nice clear steps because I had bothered to shovel slush in the morning. No de-icing compounds were necessary. /Eric | |||||
