5079.0. "making a vet trip a mixed blessing" by TENAYA::KOLLING (Karen/Sweetie/Holly/Little Bit Ca.) Thu Nov 21 1991 16:08
Why didn't I think of this before dept.: Sweetie was so depressed when
i took him on his 4th vet visit this month (to have the last of the
stitches removed from his surgery discussed in note 5034(?)), that
instead of meowing in protest all during the car ride, he just turned
his face to the back of the carrying case and didn't move (leading me
to think for a couple of minutes that he'd died -- right, mom, I'll get
back at you for this!) Anyway, later that evening it occurred to me to
spread around some Swanson chicken to make amends, and then I thought,
how about a chicken or tuna treat, meds and illness permitting, after
every vet trip? Then it won't be such a total downer for the pussycats.

| Karen...I agree with you. I also give my guys a treat if I have
to medicate them! They still don't like to be medicated...but
after I give them a treat...I feel better!!
