| The tear ducts drain down the back of the throat so the cat can
sometimes "taste" the medication. This is why they foam at the mouth
after eye medications are applied.
Ask your vet to show you how to pill your cat. If you can't do it,
then ask that the medication be given in liquid form. Also, check the
keywords for other notes on similar topics, like chlamydia,
eye_problems, etc. I have keyworded this note to eye_problems, once
you get a diagnosis of what is causing this problem, put it in here and
I will add a specific keyword for you.

| I looked in the keywords for pill and found the notes below. At least
some are graphic descriptions of how people manage to pill their cats:
PILLS 1971.16, 1971.20, 2216.25, 4488.11, 4488.13

| A couple of ideas about recurring eye infections: an allergy to the
type of litter, or the infection doesn't really clear up each time, and
the cat needs to be medicated longer.

| Just be determined that she will get her medication and don't
allow her to get away with not having it. Its for her own good.
I usually don't push my cats to do anything they really don't want
except when its absolutely necessary. I like to think that they
know and are more willing to accept unpleasant things like pills
for that reason.
Good luck.

| Heather is better! She is doing just fine now! I've got to take her
back to the vet this weekend. She needs her shots now that she got
over the eye infection. The vet never did give me a definite name for
the type of infection she had.
