4997.0. "A new home for Dundee?" by USDEV1::NDC (Putiput Scottish Folds DTN:297-2313) Wed Oct 09 1991 08:50

As many of you know I have been having trouble with Dundee spraying
for some time now. Dundee is a 3.5 yr old Scottish fold who has
been neutered since he was 9 years old. I have tried him on
ovaban (female hormones) but that didn't solve the problem. Currently
he's living in the cattery but he's not too happy with it.

The vet and I feel that he is spraying because of my breeding females.
This belief is due in part to the fact that he didn't start spraying
until after I started breeding and to the fact that he had stopped
during last winter and then started again in May when one after
another of my females went into heat.

Therefore, I have finally had to admit that Dundee would probably
be happier in another home with far fewer cats. If someone is
interested in working with Dundee to re-train him and would like
to offer him a good loving home, please contact me.

I've also talked to Cindy Gerry who feels that Dundee's spraying
would most likely stop once he was an only cat or one of two or
    three.

Of course, if this doesn't work out Dundee comes right back to me.

BTW - Dundee is a "best cat" short of being a CFF Master Grand Champion
    and is a CFA Premier.

oops - correction. Dundee has been neutered since he was 9 MONTHS
    old, not 9 years.
