When I needed help catching the Maine ferals, Linda Kuropatkin loaned me her have-a-hart trap -- it's still in use up at Nubble Light. In return, I offered to help her place some of her strays (as some of you noters may know, she operates a small shelter in her home). Here's a list she gave me yesterday. Kittens for adoption: 1. "Raison" -- Black, double-pawed female (10 wks) 2. "Ribbon" -- Tortoise, double-pawed female (10 wks) 3. "Zambini" -- Deep orange, long-fur tiger male (4-5 mos.) 4. "Dugan" and "Dudley" -- Silver & white twin brothers (8 wks) All have had first shots and worming -- $20 donation. Calico Cats for adoption: 1. "Tillie" -- Lovely and unique black-orange-white gal with white tip on tail. A real sweetheart (1 yr. old) 2. "Gretel" -- Vocal & friendly gal with all white background & orange-gray-black saddle & tail (1 yr. old) Both are FeLV-FIV negative. Have had all shots and are spayed -- $25 donation. Call Linda at (508) 632-8420 ... leave message. Also, the following kittens are for adoption: Ask for: 1. Gray & black tiger kitten (8 wks). Jo-Ellen (508)874-5903 2. White kitten with gray & black tiger saddle (10 wks.). May (508)632-1672 3. 6 wk old tiger kitten Jeff (508)632-9470 4. 6 wk old charcoal gray kitten Jeff (508)632-9470 5. Orange & white double-pawed tiger (10 wks) (508)632-8420 6. Calico kitten (10 wks) (508)632-8420

I can vouch for the kittens/cats that are at Linda's shelter in Gardner. (there are other notes posted in here somewhere). Linda is a wonderful person and has rescued many stray unwanted cats in the Gardner area. When Pat Brody was so sick...Linda also spent alot of time helping out at that shelter too...but also kept her shelter going! Very busy woman...who loves cats!! Her shelter is very clean and her cats are very well taken care of, very healthy and are loved so much!!!! She truly ensures each cat is placed in a loving home. Sandy

Where are the kritters? The first 6 on the list in .1 are at Linda's shelter in Gardner, MA. The last 6 kittens are not at her shelter, but she's trying to find them homes (her shelter is busting at the seams and she can't take them in right now). Of those last 6, all have Gardner phone numbers except the gray & black tiger, which has a Westminster, MA phone number. If any of these ... let me say that a different way ... WHEN these little kritters get adopted, please send me MAIL so that I can update the list. Thanks, Jo-Ann (BOOKS::GERDE)

Jo-Ann, Can you send me Linda's address via mail? I grew up in Gardner and visit home quite often. I'd like to drop by with food or something to help her out. Thanks JJ |
