| Because mature cats and neutered cats use less calories than do young
whipper-snappers. The lower calorie foods meet the kitties nutrional
needs with a lower level of fat, since your average mature, neutered cat
spends 20 hours a day sleeping instead of running around getting into
fights...
My mature boys and girls all eat the "light" foods and thrive on it.
It keeps them (well, perhaps with the exception of a slightly chubby Robin)
lean and healthy

| lemme tell ya, when I'm trying to do housework around the house on the
weekends, I really wish they DID spend 20 hours sleeping...instead, I get the
"whatcha doin?" pokes and prods everytime I turn around...and The Jersey
Flash and Dilly are both trying to swipe interesting looking "things" as I
dust, put stuff away, change bedding ("OH GOODY!!! She's making a bed...
quick run in and play landshark under the sheets!!!!), cooking (if you DON'T
GIVE ME FOOD, I WILL BITE YOUR TOE!!!!)....maybe if I get them kitty valium,
they'll sleep 20 hours a day....
Hannah, however, does live up to the "eat 4 hours a day" rep....unfortunately,
everyone else is trim....so, Missy Hannah is, er, "well padded".
