| I'm no expert, but that sounds about right to me. Maybe the purebred
cat count would be a bit higher here, tho. When I think of all of the
people I know who have cats & dogs, (Lots & lots) this jives w/ my own
guesstimate.

| Don't forget that cats survive in the wild much better than dogs
so the moggies live long enough to breed. I don't doubt for a minute
that moggies outnumber purebreds.

| Another factor - many many people don't realize that there is
such a thing as a purebred cat. You'd be surprized how many people
react when I tell them about my Scottish folds by saying "You mean
there are purebred cats like purebred dogs?"

These were the %ages of pets, it didn't include strays..........
...........although both my two moggies were strays!
I have noticed that people understand siamese and persians are breeds,
but that's about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bob is a prime example, so is Jesse, so is GBOF etc etc etc
