    I'm crying too, Pat. I'm so sorry. I don't even know what to say.
    I aplaud you for your courrage & pray for your strength. Take care
    of yourself. Scooter has had a great life w/ you & knows that he's
    loved. Again, I'm sorry.

         I'm so sorry too.  I'm sure all of our beloved pets will be
    waiting to take care of Scooter; he'll be able to play and romp with
    them.

    Pat, my condolenses and thoughts are with you too.  For as long as I've
    known you, you have played an important role in the lives of feral and
    stray cats.... cats that would have died horrible and painful deaths
    without your intervention.  Scooter will be very lucky to have you
    there when he begins his journey peacefully from this world into the
    next.
    
    Take care of yourself and time will do the rest.

    My sincerest sympathies as well.  Both you and scooter will be
    in my prayers.   It is so hard to lose your loved ones....but I'm
    sure you have many fond memories to keep you company.

      You have my sympathies....It's so hard to let go, and so hard to lose
    a part of your family.  Scooter had a happy wonderful life with you and
    gave you many wonderful memories, I'm sure - Hold on to those.  Take

    Just read your note about Scooter.  Can't even find words to say to
    let you know just how sorry I am.  It's so hard when you have to
    confront the fact that you are fighting a losing battle, or that your
    pet is and you are helpless except to stand by and watch and hope. 
    Scooter, I'm sure, will always retain a very special place in your
    heart....

    Last night Bonnie gave birth to four kittens.  The fourth one didn't
    look so good.  I spent alot of time stimulating him and trying to
    encourage him.  He'd just lay there and take an occasional breath.
    All I could do was watch him and talk to him (I know, kittens are
    born deaf) and rub him and pray that he'd live.  He didn't look so sure
    that he wanted to live.  
    
    It was a very very helpless feeling and I finally went to bed after I
    was sure I had done as much as I could for him.  I was very very
    relieved to find him crawling around with the rest of the litter this
    morning.
    
    I won't forget that helpless feeling soon and I can sympathize with
    you feelings when you watch Scooter and know there is nothing you can
    do for him.  I think you have made the hardest but best choice.  
    Scooter had a wonderful life with you.
    
    I have added Scooter's name to the Silver Lining Memorial list for
    this quarter.

    My thoughts and condolences are with you, too.  It's never easy-- not
    even if you have been in the same spot before.  We all love each and
    every cat we have for different reasons.  I'm sure Scooter will run
    into my "Chiggar" in kitty heaven and both will know how much their
    people parents loved them.....

    I just read your note about Scooter.  Having lost one of my cats
    several years ago, I understand how you feel.  I commend your
    decision to help Scooter on his way into another world.  It's
    very brave and shows how much you really love him.  Be strong...
    I'll think about you and precious Scooter.
