4885.0. "LOST Cat in Harvard, MA" by RTL::BENTON () Tue Aug 27 1991 14:33

Lost cat: Abigail

She is seven years old and is a black and brown tabby. She's a spayed
female and disappeared in the vicinity of Littleton Road in Harvard, MA, on
Thursday, August 22. At the time she disappeared she was wearing both a flea
collar and a regular collar with an identification tag. However, both collars
were expandable in case she got tangled up and she may have slipped out of
them. She has a small nick in one ear. Please call with any information.
Thank you.

Brian...I wish you all the luck in the world finding little
Abigail. You might want to review note 4139 which has many
great suggestions on what you can do trying to find a lost cat.
One in particular is to call all shelters, police and vets in
your area....even possibly bring them a picture of Abigail.

Good luck...and please keep us posted. I'll be praying for good
news!!! There is nothing worse then waiting for your pet to come
    home!!!!

Does your cat have any white on her face and what size -- I live in Groton,
on the Shirley/Townsend side and I have seen a small cat with some
white on her face sneaking in to eat our cat food (I put some
in the garage for it). Don't think it would be your little lady, but?

Rosemary,

It doesn't sound like Abigail - no one ever described her as "little."
:-) She's a full-grown cat and weighed about twelve pounds the last we
checked her. She doesn't really have any white in her face although some of
her coloration is very light brown. If you can get close enough to this cat
to check she has a small nick out of her right ear. I'm doubtful that she
would have gotten as far as the far side of Groton but stranger things have
happened, especially with cats.

Oh, Abigail also often reacts to her name. Again, if you are near this
cat and call the name she might react if it's her.

Thank you so much for keeping an eye out for her.

I too will keep my eyes open as I live in Littleton, on the Harvard
side. I was in the store recently and some woman had found a kitten,
but I will keep my eyes AND ears open.

Wishing you alot of luck in finding her.

4885.6Check Animal Emergency Care CenterDELNI::COLEMANWed Sep 04 1991 16:2415

Be sure to check with the Animal Emergency Care center in
Acton. They are open 24 hrs and many people bring injured
animals there. When I lived in Hudson, Ma. my cat was hit by
a car and some kind person took her all the way to Acton to
the Emergency Care center. They keep records of all animal
brought in - description of animal, date and where found.
My cat died but at least I found out what happened to her and
that was a good month after she disappeared.

    Good luck.
