I've set this note hidden pending action by the other moderators of
this notesfile since this note presents hearsay evidence against
a product or service and violates the DEC rules governing what can
be written in notesfiles.

| I won't mention the "shelter" that this note talked about by name, but
when people have suspicions about the treatment of animals in a
shelter, one thing they might do is contact a local television station
or newspaper and see if a reporter would be interested in doing an
expose on the shelter. Or perhaps a complaint to the local animal
welfare authorities?

| I have read over the base note and I have to agree with Pam's actions.
Pam agreed to watch FELINE while the three regular moderators were
away/out sick. The note in question violates the policy the we have
stated in 1.*. If the author of the base note would like to just post
an adoption note with no editorializing about this particular shelter,
s/he is more than welcome. However, discussion of this shelter via
second hand facts is not an option, nor are statements that could
camage the good will of this organization. Any non-positive comments
should be made off-line.

P.S. Sorry if this is incoherent but I'm recovering from a head injury.

| I'm not criticizing Pam; I understand the DEC restrictions. I'm just
suggesting that when a FELINEr comes across a shelter like the one that
was mentioned in .0, an effort ought to be made to close it down or
expose it to the public, so that other unsuspecting people don't leave
cats there. The actions I'm suggesting would take place outside
FELINE.
If you're still hear, .0 noter, you have my sympathies for what might
have happened to the animals you left there; it certainly wasn't your
fault.
Hope you feel better soon, Deb. At least you have Doctor Cats in
attendance.

I am sorry if my note violated the DEC policy. When I had heard about
that shelter I didn't think about any restrictions. I was just
so upset and confused. I wanted to share my feelings and sorrow and
of course to let people know what's happening. I did not get vague
information. I've named the person who warned me against that shelter.
She told me even more than I mentioned in my note.
Anyway, I don't want to continue discussing that matter. At this moment,
the most important thing for me is to find good homes for those cats.
I am going to post a new adoption note.
