       Blackie is a 6-year old, neutered mail, black Persian.  He was
      born in September of 1985 and I have been his sole owner.  He is
      a lovable cat and very docile.  He has endured the nagging of my
      2-1/2 year old son and doesn't fight back.  Blackie is an indoor
      cat and has all of his claws.  Consequently, be prepared to train
      him on a scratching post.  He loves to sleep with me at night and
       even crawls under the covers.  He loves to be brushed and should
       be brushed about once/week.  He is very clean and does cough up
       an occasional hairball.  His last vet visit was in July, 1991 and
        he received his distemper shot.  He has received some steroid
        shots in the past to relieve him of seasonal itching caused by
        a mild form of excema.  I love Blackie dearly but can no longer
        care for him or give him the attention that he needs.  I have
        recently had another child and my oldest son is becoming very
        mean to Blackie.
