I don't know if this will help at all. About two 1/2 months ago I
brought home a new addition, Domino who is 4ish and a real sweetheart.
I had lost one of my very much loved furry babies to cancer, so that
left me with only my little furry girl who is 10yrs old (a real
mommy's girl - VERY possessive of mom - who LOVES sleeping on the bed
with MOM and ONLY mom.
So when I brought Domino home of course he was curious of everything,
including the bed. I NEVER RAISE MY VOICE TO MY KIDS, BUT my little
girl was constantly hissing, spitting and being very mean to Domino
anytime he even walked by the bed, let alone when he jumped on it. I
finally couldn't take it anymore - it was breaking my heart to have him
be told "the bed is mine" by my little girl...
So I finally in a very loving and caring voice had to start
raising it whenever she started, I would very firmly tell her to STOP
IT and she would give me this unbelievable look, because I don't yell
at them AND I would encourage him on the bed when I was on it and make
sure she knew it was my doing (mommy says it's o.k..
It took a good 2mo's for him to comfortably jump up on the bed,
now she sleeps on one side of me and him on the other, i'm like a wall
between them. They are much better, but boy she was just so insisting
to him. She's 1/2 his size but her hisses meant NO..
I wish you alot of luck because I know it broke my heart for her to
chase the big guy away, i'd have to get up and go get him, I couldn't
sleep knowing that he was sent away to sleep by himself in another
room.
Diana, Tykey & Domino........

| Note .1 has some good advise. Encourage the older cat back on the bed and
let Aby know that senior has rights too. It's taken a year but my
three now get on together quiet well. You have to be firm, and don't
make senior stay on the bed any longer than she want's to. But remember,
it's your house, you pay the bills.

| Yes, you have to be firm. If necessary, shut the smaller cat out of
the bedroom for awhile (and pretend you don't hear the howls and
scratching at the door.) You may have to carry your older cat into the
bedroom as she will probably be intimidated anyway. Be sure you have a
litter box in there. After awhile, try letting the younger one have
access at night; if s/he still tries to keep your Siamese away, go
thru the cycle again.

That is what I did last night but the little one started
scratching the door so I opened the door it was weird my
older cat left the room and my young one took his place on
the bed.

| Not weird, expected. You have to be firm. If scolding doesn't work, do
the shutting out number, and don't open it despite scratching and
howls until the littler one has learned s/he coexists or the older cat
gets the whole bed.

| Until the older cat completely accepts the younger one, it will
probably just leave the bed whenever the younger is around. This type
of thing will work itself out in time. The two cats have not had very
much time together yet.

Well the older cat accepts the young one except that if he is sleeping
on the bed ,the young one will attack him until he leaves the bedroom
,so my older cat has to go somewhere if he wants to be able to sleep.

| If you can't deal with the scratching at the bedroom door then confine
the kitten to the bathroom (assuming your bathroom isn't off the
bedroom).

Well guest what! last night I went to bed and I close the door
with my older cat inside the bedroom with me, in the middle of
the night I went to the bathroom so when I opened the door the
little one came in but I told myself I'll get him out when I'll
come back,so when I came back they were both sleeping together
.Sure did not take long to get the message.Well now we are an
happy family again.
P.S. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR ADVICES ....

| If you ever do shut a kitten in teh bathroom, put the toilet cover down
so that it doesn't drown.
