4817.0. "Free kitty - needs home now!" by ASDS::NIGRO () Mon Jul 29 1991 20:32

    There is a black and white 3-4 month old kitten down the street from
    me. She has double paws, is adorable, has a black spot on the tip of
    her nose, and has a white bib and some white on her paws. I am toying
    with the idea of keeping her myself, but it will take about $100 to get
    her the shots, test for feline leukemia, and I'm even getting help with
    the cost of the spaying.

    I have a cat now, and she is 10 years old. I love her dearly, and
    maybe two cats in a four room apartment is a bit much, since my cat
    can't go into the rooms with rugs.

    So, please reply if you want this cat, because they will be putting her
    in the cat pound, or whatever they call it.

    Call me at DTN 276-8143.

4817.1Re: earlier note about kitty who needs a home soonASDS::NIGROSat Aug 10 1991 18:1516
    I am the person who wrote the note about the black and white,
    double-pawed female kitten.  I was on vacation from August 6th - 10th,
    and will be back at work this Monday, august 12th.

    Her name is "Paws", and she is frisky, and so cute. I have the name of
    a shelter in Framingham, where I hope she won't be put to sleep.

    If there is anyone out there who wants to adopt this kitten, please
    call me at home at (508)755-5581, or at work at DTN 276-8143.

    I wanted another kitty, but right now it's quite impossible for me to
    have one.

    Hoping to find Paws a home...

    Framingham Humane is a no-kill shelter. For that reason they
    limit the number of cats they take in. You should probably try to
    get on a waiting list immediately.

    	Also try Bay Path Humane (formerly Hopkinton Humane). They
    	are a no-kill shelter, with a waiting list (sometimes). I
    	have been there and was quite impressed...

4817.4Thanks for you suggestionASDS::NIGROTue Aug 20 1991 15:3713
    Thanks Sherry, for the suggestion. I found out that the owner of the
    kitten gave her to the Worcester An. Rescue League. I called there
    today, worried, but the woman said that they keep kittens, and don't
    eauthanize them. They sell them for $35, and then when the cat is
    spayed, they give you $30 back. I do wish I could have found her a
    home. The woman isn't lying to me, is she? She said the put the
    kittens up for adoption. I wish I could keep her, but I can't afford
    the cost of all the shots and the test for feline leukemia.

    I'll keep trying to find her a home, and maybe she already has one.
