Is she Siamese? I've seen this on my sealpoint when
he was stressed. If this is the case, it should go
away on its own now that she's back in her own
environment.

| She's actually a sealpoint British Shorthair - let's hope this is the
cause and that it will go away on its own.
Thanks for your help!

| What did they feed her at the cattery? Was it different from her
normal diet. That might have caused the change.

| Since she is a siamese, it is most likely just ticking that you are
seeing. The gene that controls point color is a thermal gene, and can
also be affected by body temperature, and atmospheric temperature.
Things that can cause ticking in the point color are stress, high
fever, general illness, hot weather, and some types of medications.
Ticking is not serious, and it will go away on it's own.

| Hi,
Just to let you know that the grey hairs are just starting to go away,
and new brown hairs are growing. She looks so much better now!
We've decided that next year when we go on holiday we'll get a friend
to 'cat sit' in our home rather than send our two to a cattery as we're
convinced that it was stress that caused the problem.
Anyway, Penny is fine now.
Thanks for your advice.
