I have a javanese(+), simply another color-pointed, LONG-HAIRED variety of
siamese, as the Balinese is.....and, i can sorta take exception to the "similar
but quieter" part of that sentence. If "The Flash" is a good indicator,
they are JUST like their relatives the siamese....Mandycat (aka the flash)
is clever beyond even my expectations - she opens desk drawers and pulls
things that she finds interesting out of them, pulls push-pins from the
wall when she feels like it, opens cabinet doors at will (we are now
thoroughly 'child-proofed' in the kitchen)....and she has been trying to
pull open the refrigerator door lately. Maybe she is a little quieter
than a male Siamese, but she still talks when she feels like it....I think
she is just about as noisy as a female siamese (spayed). Oh, she is, of
course, totally lovable, irresistable, unbearably beautiful and I wouldn't
trade her for anything!
I am sure you will adore your two kittens......be prepared, however, two
at a time is going to be a very interesting experience.
(+) - the Javanese come in the newer color-points such as flame, lavender and
charcoal tiger-striping....Mandycat is a flame point. The Balinese
come in traditional color-points, seal and blue. That is the
only difference between them according to the standards for the breeds.

| Clarification on colors for Balinese and Javanese. Balinese come in
traditional siamese colors, blue point, seal point, chocolate point,
and lilac point. Javanese are Balinese of any other color or pattern
(as long as the pattern is still on the points only), red or flame
point, lynx point (seal lynx, chocolate lynx, blue lynx, lilac lynx),
tortie point (seal tortie, chocolate tortie, blue cream, and lilac
cream).
A friend of mine just got her first lilac cream in a litter, with a
little lilac lynx point brother!! Neat litter. Mom was lilac lynx,
dad was flame point.
