4735.0. "11 NEW BABIES" by MCIS3::AMCGOWAN () Tue Jun 18 1991 14:03

    Hi,

One of the folks that I work with just informed me that her two
calico kittys have given birth to a total of 11 kittens. There
is quite an assortment of colors and sizes. She is going to give
me the specifics on each kitty when they are a little bit older and
she is able to determine their sexes. Those that she is unable to
find homes for will have to be sent to shelters. Any suggestions
out there as to what shelters can move kittens fast??

    I will be in touch.

    Thanks,
    Arlene

Just a thought. How about giving the kittens she can't find
homes for to a pet store? I know one in Marlboro takes em'

Is she going to have her cats fixed now?

Move kittens fast...I doubt it. It is kitten season...and
beleive me each shelter is full with not only cats...but many
kittens. At the last count...the shelter I work at...had
close to 35-40 kittens....with very limited adoptions.
    How sad...

Good luck finding homes...and please try to convince your friend
to have the cats fixed once the kittens are weaned. There are just
    two many unwanted kittens around.

    	I haven't been there for a while so I don't know how
full it is, but the humane society in Nashua does not
euthanize kittens unless they are ill. You might try
    	there. 603-883-8512

I should rephrase that by saying they don't euthanize
the animals unless they are ill.

4735.7I would like a kitten to take home - I have oneASDS::NIGROTue Jul 02 1991 16:0710
I have a calico now, 10 years old. I would love another one, a kitten.
She would accept it, and maybe this one will be an indoor cat. Please
contact me when you are ready to tell more about them. I love the
tri-colored ones. Mine has white paws, and a white bib, and she is
very affectionate, though she wasn't at first. She would accept a
kitten, not an adult cat. Please call me at DTN 276-8143.

Thanks, and looking forward to hearing from you...

Hi, I already replied, but I'm really psyched that the parents are
calico. I'd really love to have a little calico kitten. I have a
calico cat which I love, so please keep me in mind.

    Thanks,
