Having seen your pics, I can imagine what it must have looked
like :^} I love it when they go into 'boxer' mode - it's so
cute!
Do any of yours 'snap' at the others like a dog? C.C. will do
this if she's sitting on my lap and doesn't want to share. It's
funny to hear her jaws snap shut, and she's usually got this
very annoyed look on her face at the same time :^}

| AHAHAHA,, I can just see that now...
Hmm.. no one "snaps in my house".. but the other nite I was sitting
down in chair.. paws up, reading and enjoying a cup of tea.
Kissy came wandering thru and hopped up to visit,, she was all
curled up and purring away.. When Preschie arrived on the scens..
she jumped up and was quite surprised to see Kissy all curled up..
well Ms Preschie settled in as well,, and of course I thought..
neato .. 2 furfaces.. well as I continued to read. I saw Preschie
stretch out very casually and pushhhhhhhhhh Kissy a little.. and much
to her surprise.. Kissy pushed back,, not very very gently either,,
and the next thing Ms Preschie knew she was on the floor.. with
that WELL I MEANT FOR THAT TO HAPPEN LOOK.. SO THERE.. and f
course.. Kissy looked at me as if to say.. Gee I wonder how that
happened.. hmm..that brown tabby and white kitty.. went boom..
oh well.. back to sleep..
Kate, Happy( good now I have couch all to myself..) Preschie( Harumph..
Kissy..( tee-hee..)

re: Sandy
Nope....no snapping. Just hissing and growling. Audrey is
SO hyper and wants to play most of the time she's awake and
the others being 2, 2, and 5 years older sometimes wish
she'd just leave them alone! So they just hiss or growl
at her and she goes away....usually.

| Yup, sounds like Ming when she is sick and tired of Mocha
beating her up. Gentle to a fault and will run and hide
most of the time but lately, she is standing up on her hind
legs and popping Mocha each side of the head. The sound is
unbelievable. To think that soft paws hitting against fur
could make that "bap" sound.
Those passive Himmies can only be pushed so far and then
watch out. Audry will have more respect for Chole now and
in the future.

| the "bap" is Isis's favorite method of enforcement. And she
uses it to tell the kittens who's boss in our house.

I can see Isis doing that too. She's definitely ruler of
the roost if I ever saw one!

| Kelsey baps. Only he's too stupid to REALLY bap. Instead, he just
goes thru the bapping motion forgetting to hit his target! Then he
wonders why Taja is relentless in instigating fun and games!!

| I can appreciate the boxing show. Jessica tries to sleep with
us at night. Once she's settled and 3/4 asleep, Alexander will
hop up and e-v-e-r ...s-o ...s-l-o-w-l-y start sidling towards
her. If he's in a good mood, he'll get just close enough to
start licking her ears and head, then try to snuggle close.
She'll half wake up and start to wash him in a desultory
manner. This goes on for a minute or two and I'm finally
thinking "Oh Boy!, they're finally accepting one another!"
when one of them, usually Alexander, takes a bite instead
of a lick. And then it starts - hisses and spitting and
boxing, until Jessica leaves and Alex has the bed to himself.
But it is so funny to see Alex sitting up on his hind legs,
using one paw like a boxer to lean forward and bop Jessie,
then sit back with the paw in the air definding himself
and deciding where to land the next blow. Of course Jessie
plays sneaky too and while he's sitting up there like Ali,
she's getting ready to jump at his belly. If she won at
least half of the time I'd be happier, but Alex usually
gets his way although he's only 9 months old and she's 8
years old.
