4702.0. "Himalayans anyone?" by JUPITR::KAGNO (I'm51%Pussycat,49%Bitch-Don'tPush it!) Mon Jun 10 1991 11:00

If anyone out there in the Massachusetts area has been thinking about
getting a Himalayan kitten or cat, I visited a wonderful breeder in
Bellingham over the weekend. I have always liked Himmies, but prefer
the older style with only a slight nosebreak or none at all, and the
shorter, silkier coats. This breeder has both the older style and the
more extreme fashion in vogue today. She also specializes
in lynxpoints. Her cats are beautiful and cattery immaculate. I was
    very impressed.

She and her husband recently relocated here from Connecticut and are
finding that the market for everything is slower in Mass. They would
like to cut down on their feline numbers (which at about 15 or so I
don't think is too out of hand) and have a few adults available as
well as the kittens. Be warned, tho... I have dibs on the 1 1/2 year
old neutered blue lynx male :^) :^). None are ready to go "right this
minute" as she is behind in the felv testing and other associated
bloodwork due to the move. She is welcoming visiters now and if you
like something she can reserve it for you. Her prices for kittens
start at $250 for pets. Adults are priced more reasonably.

For kittens, I can't remember them all, but there were a few 12 wk old
sealpoints; one male and one female I believe. Also a 12 wk old blue male.
These had the typier faces. These are not lynx, just plain blue and
sealpoint. Then she has an 8 month old blue lynx male, a 12 week old
blue lynx male, and a 12 week old seal lynx female. The two blue lynx
males have a definite nosebreak but the seal lynx female does not. She
is a love! The friendliest of the bunch.

Then there are 2, three week old bluepoint males with the longer noses.
They came running to us squealing when she opened the bedroom door!

I'm not sure what other adults she has besides the one I have reserved.

If you are interested, send me mail and I'll give you her name and
    number.
