4654.0. "Missing kitty....." by MR4DEC::KTRAINQUE () Fri May 17 1991 15:31

    I am writing this on the off chance maybe one of you have seen my
    Bonnie. Bonnie is a brown patch tabby with a medium length coat. She
    has a solid white throat. She got out the other day when my boyfriend
    came to visit. We tried to get her but couldn't. I haven't seen her
    since.

    I have gone door to door, and have even checked the major highway by my
    house. So far no one has seen her, and I haven't found her by the
    road.

    She is lost in Nashua, New Hampshire. I live off of Concord Street.
    (greeley park area). If anyone sees her please let me know. I am
    heart broken she was my favorite. She loves to investigate open cars
    and will go to anyone to be petted. She doesn't like to be picked up.
    She is also declawed in the front. (I didn't do it, I adopted her like
    that).

    Thanks for any help.

    Poor Bonnie...you must be heart-broken!

    If you don't see her in a day...I recommend putting an ad in the
    local newspaper. You could also put up pictures of her at vets,
    local stores and shelters. Did you call the Nashua Shelter or
    the police???

    Just some thoughts...we'll pray for little Bonnie!

    Kim, have you left notes with your neighbors, asking them to check
    their garages, basements, sheds, any place she might accidentally
    get closed in? Please let us know how things are going. we have
    our fingers crossed.

4654.3So sorry....AIMHI::UPTONFri May 17 1991 16:4510

    Kim-

    Put signs on telephone poles at Greeley Park describing her and talk
    to the local kids - they see everything. Concord Street is a busy
    Street - I hope you find her soon.

4654.4keep praying....MR4DEC::KTRAINQUEFri May 17 1991 17:2113
    Talk about getting to know your new neighbors. I have left notes and a
    couple of my neighbors even open their garages right then. They
    figured she would come to me first.

    I called the Nashua police, they said they would notify me. I am just
    hoping she is okay. Concord street is extremely busy and little beyond
    that is that Henry Burque Highway. I am so afraid she will be hit.

    I'll keep you updated. Hopefully I will have good news soon. In the
    meantime I am trying not to use up all the kleenex in the house.

4654.5post signs and ask kidsDEMON::MURPHYFri May 17 1991 17:3314
    Kim,

    I don't know where you moved from but it may be worth a try to also
    contact former neighbors or post signs where you moved from. Just in
    case Bonnie succeeds in making it back "home". It's been known to
    happen.

    Post notes in local stores in that area such as little variety stores
    and on trees. Ask kids in the area to keep an eye out too.

    Hope you find her soon.

4654.6check with veterinarians in NH area tooDEMON::MURPHYFri May 17 1991 17:356

    I meant to add to previous reply to also check with vets in
    Nashua/Merrimack.

4654.7I hope not.....MR4DEC::KTRAINQUEFri May 17 1991 17:565
    Is it really possible that she would go back home? I moved from
    Westminster, MA to Nashua NH. The ride by car takes over an hour. I
    really don't know how far that would be in miles.

    Thanks for all the suggestions.
4654.8FOUND!!!!!!!!!MR4DEC::KTRAINQUEMon May 20 1991 10:0611
    Bonnie came knocking on the door last night about Midnight. She seems
    fine, just a little hungry. Thanks for the support and help. I
    finally slept last night, knowing there were two bundles of fur at the
    end of the bed.

    You never know how much you love the annoying little stinkers until
    something happens. I am just so happy she is home. Snob attitude and
    all. By the way she loves all the extra attention she's been getting.

    So so happy to hear she came home. Considering she is not
    familiar with the area and not use to going out...count yourself
    very very lucky that she came back home!!! She must be a smart
    little baby!!

    Thank god she's home!!!!

What great news! Although none of mine have ever disappeared that long, I
still know what the relief is like when they re-appear. I'm glad she's
home safely. Concord Street is a very busy road.

Welcome to Nashua....if you every need anything, give me a buzz; I'm
in the book!

    See wht happens when you get behind in your FELINE reading. I
    knew Bonnie was missing but I didn't know she'd come home!

    And I could have used some good news last week! ;^)
4654.17Lucky.....!VIVIAN::A_HOARETue Aug 13 1991 11:1616

    What you don't realise, is how lucky you are.

    Bonnie has obviously been round and checked out the local
    areas and families and decided that shes rather stay with you
    than adopt a new house, (See "The Silent Miaow").

    Just imagine the situation if there had been a mouse farm nearby.

    	All the best
