4631.0. "Lost Cat near Spags" by MR4DEC::DUMAS () Thu May 09 1991 13:06

I am adding this note for my sister-in-law. The story goes like this:

She lives in an apartment building off of Lake Ave in Worcester Ma.
They are not allowed to have pets. But she has two indoor cats.

Two years ago 2 cats showed up in the parking lot. An orange male
and a calico female. She had kittens. The people in the building
feed the cats and the kittens. They found homes for the kittens.

Next thing you know she had kittens again. They feed and found homes
for the kittens. They finally realized something had to be done. A
couple in the apartment building took in the female and had her fixed.

They loved her and gave her a good home. She is so beautiful and clean
they named her Princess. But the guy believed she should still be let
out cuz she would cry at the door to go out. So this is fine. She only
    stayed in the parking lot.

Last Friday morning they let her out and have not seen her since. The
woman upstairs told them Friday night that she was on her way to work
and when she got there a woman pulled in behind her and told her she
was following her cuz when she was driving she noticed a cat fell from
her car. This happened at the light in front of Spags. No one has seen
Princess since. My sister-in-law has been up and down the streets. She
has called the police to see if anyone hit the cat. Called all the vets
in town and also called the dog officer. No one has any info on this
beautiful cat. She also put a ad in the newspaper to run for a full
week. They would love to get this cat back. Hopefully she's not hurt.

The cat is a small female. Has multi colors of orange, brown, and
black. Her tail is so fluffy.

If anyone has any info or has seen this cat, please contact me via
    vaxmail. MR4DEC::DUMAS

    Thanks,
    Angela

I wish you and your sister-in-law all the luck in the world
in finding this little girl. Hopefully the ad in the paper
will bring some luck for you.

I know exactly how you feel....I'm still searching for CAM
who has been missing for almost a year. My heart still breaks...

    Keep us posted...Sandy

Perhaps the manager at Spags would let her post a sign in the store.
Also she could leave a Xeroxed note at nearby homes and on light posts,
etc. (At the houses -- don't put it in the mailbox, which is against
some idiotic federal law, but tucked in screen doors, partly under
    doormats, etc.)

Thanks for all the quick replys. I had told her to hang posters on the
telephone pole's. Lot's of times people don't think of looking in the
newspaper. She did go into Spags to check the board and see if anyone
put a note up of a found cat. She said the board was loaded. She is
sick about the whole thing. So are the owners. Not to mention the male
is still around and they say he is so lonely.

    Thanks again,
    Angela

The woman who the original noter wrote about is my best friend and
unfortunately hasn't heard anything. She is still worried sick about
this beautiful cat and has done everything humanly possible to find
her but with no luck. I just pray, as she does, that Princess is in
    good hands.

Boo Kitty (a stray male who everyone in the complex has been taking
care of for the past few years - and also Princess's one-time mate)
took off for a few days this past week-end. I and my friend honestly
believe he took off to look for Princess but did return day before
    yesterday.

If I hear anything more too (besides the oiginal noter "Hi Angela!") I
    will keep you informed.

I do pray for that beautiful Princess. She is a DOLL!!

I would like to suggest that she also call the vets, police, ect
in the surrounding towns...like Shrewsbury. I work in Shrewsbury
and it is about 1 1/2 miles from Spags. A cat can travel that
    in no time!

Just an idea....warm thoughts and prayer to help find this baby.
