4453.0. "Mr. Cunniff goes to England" by CRUISE::NDC (Putiput Scottish Folds DTN:297-2313) Tue Mar 12 1991 07:33

Well, Mr Smith went to Washington, so Mr. Cunniff is going to
    London.

As part of his new job Jack will be visiting England to familiarize
himself with GMO's operation there. It was intended that this
visit occur around the beginning of 1991 but with the threat of
    terrorism it was postponed.

There is no definite date as yet, but he's got his new passport
all ready. He's hoping to visit with some of the UK Feliners.
So feel free to contact him through me.
Nancy DC who wishes she was coming too.

    Me me me!

Please let Mr Cunniff know that he is more than welcome to visit the
wilds of the Berkshire downs anytime! He's not going out next week is
    he .... only I'm going over there :-}

Is he definitely going to London? I'm quite a long way from there ....

Send me mail and we can make "arrangements" ;-)

    Lisa.

There are no travel arrangements yet (that I know of ;^). I suspect
he won't have a great deal of free time. I'm trying to convince him
that he should stay an extra day so he can visit with you folks some.

I don't know if he'll be able to drive any distance to get together.
(I think I'd be real nervous about driving myself. All my automatic
reactions are for driving on the right).

I understand - the M25 and M4 are enough to test the patience of a
saint! So is it London? Reading would be so much easier!

    Lisa.

PS There's always the train ...

Tell him to be careful about walking across the curb -- he'll
automatically look the wrong way.... they have warnings about this
painted on some London streets; I guess they got tired of squishing
    Americans.

If he's in the Reading area, maybe we could get together and have
a "this side of the pond" feliners party?

I'll let you know as soon as there are dates set. I think Jack is
expecting to fly over on a Thursday and fly back in the middle of the
following week. In other words, he'll be there for a weekend.
