Hurray for Ali and his brother Suleiman, who according to CNN
took it upon themselves to care for the animals at the Kuwait
City zoo during the past few months after the regular keepers
had left. Various other people also took small animals
away to care for them in their homes. (It wasn't clear how much
damage the Iraqis did at the zoo; two animals were mentioned as being
wounded but were shown and seemed to be fairly well healed; I
assume they'll get vet attention now.)

Karen, thanks for posting this. I had heard some horrible news on the
radio last week while coming to work about the animals at the Iraq zoo.
Glad to see there are some compassionate people over there.
