    There is a short-haired orange tiger cat located in Townsend Center.
    The girl at the Balloons store has been feeding it.  It is in very
    touch shape right now.  It looks like it has been hit.  I am going to
    call the Pepperell Dog officer today to have him pick the cat up.
    
    I wanted to post this note because the cat looks like it was healthy
    at one time and did belong to someone.  
    
    I have already called my vet in Pepperell to see if anyone was missing
    a tiger cat and she has one women who is going to call.
    
    Before I call the Dog officer, I wanted to know if this is the right
    place to call.  Should I be calling a shelter or something?

	I think you'd be better off dealing with a shelter. But I don't know who to tell you to call. My feeling is that the dog officer will just have the cat put to sleep. Perhaps Framingham Humane could take it if you would provide transport. They might be willing to cover the medical expenses if you agreed to foster the cat until it was well enough to place in a new home. Nancy DC

	Kitty Angels in Tyngsboro said they would take the cat but we haven't been able to locate it. I've asked the girl at the balloon shop to watch for it and call me when she sees it. I haven't heard from her yet. I can't do to much after work because it is usually dark by the time I get home. I will look this weekend to see if I can find it. I am hoping that maybe it did belong to someone and decided to go home. We'll just have to wait and see what happens. Susan

	Susan, Please keep me informed...the reason I was questioning was... about 1 month ago there was an ad in my local paper (Fitchburg which is not toooo far from Townsend) that said an orange cat was missing from my neighborhood. When I saw your note...something triggered in my mind about the cat that was missing. I have no idea who put the ad in the paper...but I was going to call the paper to see if they would look up the telephone number for me on the person that placed the ad. I just know that I'm still missing Cam and if I had any lead...I would want to follow up on it. Just let me know if the cat shows back up. Sandy (playing CAT-COLUMBO)
