4399.0. "CFA Registration Rules" by AKOCOA::FALLON (Isn't that a Mooncat?) Tue Feb 19 1991 09:48

I need to find out about registering a litte of kittens CFA. I have
already called them but the woman I spoke with was unclear/unsure about
this. The sire is TICA registered and the mom is both CFA and TICA.
I was told to get a three generation pedigree for him. Does this have
to be certified and will this be all I need or will he HAVE to be
registered in CFA to process this? I was told it might be necessary.
    Thanks guys!

I think you will need a 5 generation pedigree for CFA. If you call
CFA, they should be able to tell you exactly what you need. If they
said three generation, then check to be sure that they don't mean to
have TICA send a certified 3 generation pedigree to them. That could
    cost you bucks.

When you call CFA back, ask for the registrations department, they
should know exactly what you will need.

    Thanks Jo,

I called CFA back and was told that he MUST be registered CFA in order
for my kittens to be too. They require a 3 generation pedigree
(sometimes a 5) and not always, but sometimes, a certified one.
Probably, if they think something might be fishy or someone is hanging
paper, that's when they will request a certified copy. Then all it
costs to get him registered is 7 buckolas! Then too, a 7 dollar fee
    for the litte registration.
    thanks!

Well, that's $7 for the litter and then $6 for each individual
    kitten that's registered later.
