4369.0. "BIRTHDAY WISHES" by DEMON::MURPHY () Mon Feb 11 1991 09:28

    	"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JAMIE, MY LITTLE PUGSLEY BOY!
       AND TO HIS SISTER, FERLIE, AND HIS OTHER LITTERMATES TOO!"

    It sure doesn't seem like it, but "Lad Jamie" will be 1 year old tomorrow,
    Feb. 12th. He's turned into quite a handsome young "lad" with a nice
    stocky build. It was last March when I went to Tony's and adopted
    Jamie from his straight-earred Scottish Folds and he's been a joy to
    add to my feline family.

    His "Uncles" and "Aunts" will be celebrating his birthday tomorrow with
    "fish cakes", kitty toys, & "Mom" will blow bubbles (non-chemical type)
    for them to catch. There'll also be games of "kitty tease", and
    "sparkler streamers" to amuse them. ;-)

    	 							  Cookie)

    Oh Pat - the Putiput kitties want to know if this "affair" is open
    to others? Is Prescie handling the arrangements? Will there be
    pizza? Inquiring cats want to know.......

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO LAD JAMIE AND MS. FERLIE.

4369.2Thanks, NancyDEMON::MURPHYWed Feb 13 1991 12:4022
    Well, the party was a huge success. Unfortunately, since it was such
    short notice and only planned for Sunday, there wasn't much time to
    invite anyone except the household clan, Nancy. Maybe on his 2nd
    birthday we'll have it planned better. :-)

    I cooked chicken livers and fish sticks (removed the coating so they
    only got the fish) and boy, they all loved that special treat mixed in
    their regular dinner. Wanted to get pizza but with getting all those
    toys (enough to go around to 6 cats and a toy poodle), ran out of $,
    but they said the dinner specialties I fixed were excellent substitutes
    for the pizza. ;-)

    They played with all the toys - mice, catnip bags, and ball - until
    they pooped out for naps. Jamie just loved his gifts and especially
    the mice (toys of course). Went around growling with one in his mouth
    like it was a real prize.

    Everyone had a great time (including "Mom") and especially the "birthday
    boy". :-)

4369.3And next party, lobster all around...EMASS::SKALTSISDebWed Feb 13 1991 15:535
    Be careful, Pat, you may have just set a (very expensive) precedent!

    :-)

4369.4Yup, but they're worth itDEMON::MURPHYThu Feb 14 1991 08:546
    I know, Deb, but "they" are worth it for all the joy they give us. :-)

    Did you just offer to bring the lobsters to the next party? ;-)

    Pat

    Presents for ALL of them!! Oh my, oh my, don't let that get around
    at my place.....  Lets see 11 cats with 11 birthdays, 11 * 11 = 121
    Geez! I'd have to buy 121 cat toys each year. And that doesn't
    even consider any new kittens who may join us.

    Don't let the FIRM get word of this. I can see all the suits now
    for unequitable treatment or discrimination!!

    RE: Lobster

    I think (but can't prove) that Argus was using my account again and
    changed the title on the note. :-) That cat will do anything for an
    extra meal!

    Nancy, please, don't give the FIRM any ideas (especially around tax
    season in the Commonwealth)!

    Deb
4369.7The kid likes to shareDEMON::MURPHYThu Feb 14 1991 11:323
    Actually, the present were "Jamie's" but he's such a generous "lad" he
    likes to share with his Uncles and Aunts. :-)

4369.8Share and share alike..AIMHI::MCCURDYThu Feb 14 1991 12:585
    Pat.. I also have it on good authority that Jamie do indeed "share"..
    MS Preschie said they shared a bottle of Rootbeer together..
    Kate Happy(nope, I am not sharing food) Preschie( I will.. Purr.)

    Ps..THE FIRM does know......
4369.9That explains it..DEMON::MURPHYThu Feb 14 1991 14:524

    Ahhhh, rootbeer with Ms. Preschie. That explains the big grin he had
    on his face (and wet whiskers). :-)
