    Thanks, Elaine. It's probably too late to have a catalog sent and get it 
    before Christmas, though. I will probably try to order the mug I remember
    (which I described in my base note). I don't remember what the other(s)
    looked like or which I liked best. This is one time I wish I had been
    a more spontaneous spender and bought when I had them in front of me!

I have seen the mugs you describe - they're actually quite popular in the
"yuppie" shops.  You might be able to just buy one.  I can't remember exactly
where I saw one last, but it was when I was doing my own Christmas shopping
last week.  They also had tee shirts, canvas bags, etc, all with that neat
black kitty design.  I know I've seen them in more than one place.

The problem with notes files is I have no idea what area you are in.  If
in the eastern Mass. area, you could try Ralph Jordan Fabrics in Acton
(don't let the name fool you, it's a gift shop) or The Depot in Concord.
Those are the two most likely I think, though I went into many of the little
shops in Concord and I'm not sure which one it was that I saw the mugs in.

    Thanks for the tip, Lisa! That sounds very promising. I have a friend 
    who lives in Concord and is tuned in to what's in the shops. I'll give
    her a call tonight and see if she can narrow it down to what store 
    carries those items. (I just tried calling Ralph Jordan's; they don't 
    have the mug. There's no listing for The Depot -- do you know if the 
    gift shop goes by a different name?)  I'm in Nashua (sorry not to 
    mention that before), so I can just buzz down there and pick up the 
    goodies if I can locate them.

    it's been awhile.

Well...  You're right.  It's not the Depot. I had to do some research, but
finally found "the Concord Depot (508)369-2775.  I even called them for you. 
THEY HAVE THEM!  Three different ones.  But they only have one of each.

I put my name to hold the one with the sitting cat and flowers, but they
will only hold it for one day.  You MIGHT be able to get them to mail it
to you.

I guess you should actually look at it to make sure it's the same thing.
If you go, check upstairs to see if there are other goodies with the
same design.

    Lisa, it was soooo nice of you to do that! Boy, Feliners are great -- 
    not only do they help find homes for cats and cats for homes, but cat 
    mugs for people, too!

    I got the black-cat-with-geraniums and the black-cat-with-flowers (in 
    muted colors). Still can't decide which to keep and which to give as a 
    gift, though. I will probably buy the other two mugs later so I have a
    complete set. Surprisingly, the price per mug was a couple of bucks less 
    than at the cat show. 

    I am so glad to have the mugs! Thank you very much for your help!

    P.S. I hope everything works out for Pinto. 

    This is as good a place as any to put this in.  We had a cat club 
    x-mas party last night with a gift exchange.  Ken found a mug at the
     Hallmark store that had a cat on it and said "Just another mug for my
    cat to drink out of when I am not looking" on it.  It was a big hit at
    the party.  The gift exchange was one of those progressive ones where
    the gifts can be "traded" back and forth.  That mug was very popular!
