| For those of you who are wondering why I didn't adopt Chloe, my family
has adopted four cats since the summer. I'd love to adopt every
furface that needs a home, but my finances won't permit it.

| Do the present owners know about CD, etc.?

| Just how often does she have tract infections? I'll think about taking
her if she isn't gone already. Has she tried feeding her Eukanuba low
ash food?

| Karen,
What is CD? I don't think I've heard of it before.

I suggest that you contact the owner directly. Chloe sounds like a
sweet puddytat, but I merely posted the basenote for someone who works
at Data General. A friend of mine here at Digital thought it would be
a good idea to post an adoption notice. If you talk with the owner,
you'll find out more details about Chloe's medical history, such as
the frequency of her urinary tract infections. BTW, the owner's phone
numbers are listed in the base note.
I can't answer your questions, but I'm sure that Chloe's present owner
can fill you in on her medical problems.
Thanks for your interest, Lisa!

| CD is a type of cat food that helps prevent urinary tract problems.
It's available thru vet's offices.

| Hill's C/D is a "prescription diet" and is available only from a vet.
The reason its best for preventing UTI's is that not only is it low
ash, but it also contains a urine acidifier. For that reason, it is
important NOT to give an additional urine acidifier when feeding C/D
unless specifically instructed by a vet.
