| Louisa,
I'm sure you meant bowel disease unless of course her food dish (bowl)
is sick! Ha Ha ;). I've never had any experience with it. Sorry.

| Hmm. I might change from 9-lives to anything else. Seriously,
it might be worth going to something not purchased in the
supermarket. Old Mother Hubbard is very good, if you are
near a place that carries it - I don't know where you live,
or if you are here in the U.S. I wonder if the dye is
causing the problem.
Hope your baby is better

| of my 5, two are very vulnerable to the dyes that are added to cat food
to make it look nice to you....AND, they don't always have to list the
dye IF they purchased some ingredient already dyed and added it to the
food...therefore, my first suggestion would be to talk to your vet
about food/dye/ingredient sensitivities. It sounds like a rice and
babyfood diet to settle the tummy down might be in order....strained
lamb and cooked white rice can usually help settle it. After that,
a cat food which advertises no added dyes might help.
whatever you do, keep in touch with your vet on this...untreated, it
is really bad for the kitty.

| I would not feed her 9 lives. There are nine lives flavors
that make my cats throw up instantly, while no other food I've fed
them bothers them. All mine get CD now.

| RE: .6. What is CD? I just acquired a cat and bought her 9 lives.
But she doesn't care too much for it. Seems to prefer Iams.

I saw my vet today and he gave me some medican that should clear ths up
it will take 3months.
i have tried all good brands of cat food..Motherhubberd, Iams,
Prochoice, Euk all of them..Nephra would rather starve to death then
eat one of the above..she went 1wk w/ no food before..so I guess Id
rather have a live cat w/ a bowel desies then a dead one..If I had her
from birth I would of started her out on the good stuff..but she s
2now and very finicae (sp)
My Pup is on the good stuff and have no problem w. it at all..and my
other cats love anything..but nt Nephra
Thanks for all your support

| CD is a canned food available thru vets. My guys like it a lot.
It is nutritionally balanced and has no bad stuff like dyes, etc.
Maybe you could try mixing in a little good food with the 9lives and
gradually increase the amount of that and decrease the amount of
9lives.
