| I know someone who follows all the shows because she's a vendor who
is in the cat furniture business. I can ask if she has a listing but
I'm sure I read some note past with a listing, I'm sure someone in the
file who is a regular will know.

| My understanding of the HHP class is that the cats are judged on
overall condition and on personality. It is critical that the cat
enjoy being shown. They are certainly allowed to be nervous and
chances are they'll calm down with experience.
re: older vs kitten - I think that depends a great deal on the cat.
The important factors are: How does the cat react to new situations,
new people and Lots of other cats. We tried to show Mao because
she is very outgoing and enjoys new places. However, she DOESN'T like
alot of other cats and was VERY upset at the show.
I did pick up a little trick at the TICA show this past weekend. A
tiny bit of vanilla extract on the cat's nose makes it almost
impossible for the cat to smell the other cats around him/her. Seemed
to work very well for the cat benched right next to my kittens.

Thanks so much to everyone who has responded to my plea!!! I'm really
looking forward to this. One of my cats had to have a toenail removed
due to recurring infections, does this constitute declawed, disallowing
him to be entered?

| Gee, I wouldn't think anyone would notice. I wouldn't worry about
it at all.

Looks like our first show will be Marlboro in Nov. Now to convince
my husband that we really need another cat..."you know, hon, a kitten,
so it can used to all this right from the start!" :^)
