    We could use some help/suggestions here!  The woman giving away the
    kittens in note 3912 is getting desperate.  She plans now to give the
    kittens to a Dr. Pet Center!  She has tried and called Kitty Angels,
    but they are swamped.  I don't want to see them go to Dr. Pet (I would
    prefer sleep to that!).  Please, can someone send her mail to help out
    with this?  She also has some certificates for spay/neuter that Nancy
    so kindly sent.  It is hard to give up. :'{

    I wish 3912 was on the West coast.  I have a list of some 30
    rescue/adoption services that I "collected" while looking for homes for
    two feral kittens born in my yard a short while ago.  All I can suggest
    is that she do what I did and live on the telephone for a for awhile.
    Call as many vets in her area as possible asking for numbers of
    adoption and rescue groups; call the rescue groups, if they can't help,
    ask for more numbers and suggestions, and above all, BE PERSISTENT! 
    Just because they say no once doesn't mean that one should stop
    calling.  Room in a foster home may come available or they may come up 
    with a prospective owner in time.  Take photos, post them at work, vet
    offices (plural), and pet stores.  Embarrass yourself by asking
    everyone that crosses your path if they are interested (screen
    them if they are).  What helped me the most was making the kittens more
    attactive by taking care of they're first shots, blood work, flea bath,
    etc.
    
    I didn't find a home for the two kittens until two days before the
    deadline (literally) that my landlords had set!  Pets-in-Need came up
    with the number of a woman looking for a litter mates to break-in her
    new home and keep each other company while she was at work and C.A.R.E.
    offered to foster them until placed or parted from old age as I'd "put
    so much effort and expense, we couldn't possilby refuse".
    
    DON'T GIVE UP YET!!!  My kittens are happy, their new mom is happy, and 
    I'm happy (telephone updates and a visit coming up).  Hopefully, with
    a little time and perseverance, 3912's situation can be the same.
